Bird Tails

Recently, thanks to our spectacular summer weather,  I have been spending my mornings enjoying my coffee on the deck watching the local avian population to stop by for some food and drink. These winged creatures provide me with endless amusement. Their antics and habits are so much fun to observe!

These very young raccoons were testing each other to see how far up this
 lodgepole pine they could go. Somehow thay made their way back down.

Morning Sentinels

I snapped this photo (quickly!) through the glass in my office window. I have a bird feeder on the window and morning is a busy time for feeding. The birds all seem to wait patiently for each other to have their turn.
