Photo Art Friday : Roadside Fall Leaves

Photo Art Friday
I am so attracted to this particular bit of sidewalk. It was a lovely bit of summer  vibrancy when the dandelions valiantly fought to pop up near the curbside (see below - previously posted image) and, with the Autumnal Equinox upon us, I'm finding it to be an equally enticing place - graced by the lively colors of fallen, aging, leaves.  It's the little snippets of everyday color and art - so often overlooked -that make my day more colorful.

Photo Art Friday : Nettle: Nature's textural Gem

Nature’s first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf’s a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
"Nothing Gold Can Stay" by Robert Frost

Nettle has always fascinated me. It's nature's textural gem.  It's not a nice plant to touch or fall into but it's smooth, spikey, soft, hard, wispy & thorny surfaces make for some interesting images.
